Elemental Motion: Turn Photoshop layers into After Effects animations.

Welcome to Fearless Motion! This series was designed to make motion an accessible, actionable part of your creative toolkit. Each tutorial will focus on foundational concepts, giving you the power to manipulate Photoshop layers in After Effects. We want to give you the context to see kinetic potential in your work, and the confidence to make it happen.

This session: Elemental Motion. Learn how to control individual elements in a composition: make them spin across the screen, float with Easy Ease, and fade‑in.

You — yes, you! — can learn After Effects. Let’s do this.

Check out the Photoshop layers

In the Project Panel in the upper left of your workspace, you’ll see your imported media. After Effects turned your Photoshop file into a composition; double click on it and you’ll see each individual layer stacked in order in the timeline below, ready for action.
